Abantu Literacy League is an advocacy non-profit organisation based in Orange Farm. We give children and young people access to tutoring, books, reading and the arts — because learning should be a lifestyle, not a luxury.
Our Mission
Making learning a lifestyle
To make learning a lifestyle, through inclusive and innovative programmes that support people of all ages and genders. What began as a backroom library in Orange Farm has grown into a movement addressing crucial community needs — particularly access to information. Through Read Academy SA, Itataise Visual Arts Club and Bookamoso Bookclub, we are working toward the same goal: making learning inclusive, lifelong, and open to everyone, as we grow into the epicentre of knowledge and the arts in Orange Farm.
